ILIAD 4.5 is a medical expert software  program used worldwide by health care clinicians to provide expert diagnostic consultations and patient simulations. Version 4.5 covers more than 930 diseases and 1500 syndromes and provides treatment protocols for each including the ICD-9 codes for each diagnosis.

Iliad acts as an expert consultant that provides a differential diagnosis, or acts as a second opinion, to critique a presumptive diagnosis.
