This 2nd edition includes
all the content from the first edition plus significant
new content.
The main focus of
the content is normal muscle function. The core of the
product is a collection of interactive 3D animations that
you can move and manipulate with your mouse. The
animated 3D models can be rotated and moved to show the
function of agonist and antagonist muscles during common
movements such as raising arms, bending, flexion of
spine and neck etc.
It features an
interactive 3D skeleton with bones, ligaments, muscles and
vessels. Select from a menu of views that allow
you to focus on a particular region such as upper
body, add and removed anatomy from the model and rotate to
view and label all visible structures.
This is great for
learning anatomy of bones and muscles and their role in
normal muscle function and common gross motor movements.
Contains over 70 muscle function
animations – 27 are new for the 2nd Edition including:
- Lateral flexion of the trunk
- Rotation of the trunk
- Respiration
- Opening/Closure of the lips
- Retraction of the angles of
the mouth
- Elevation/Depression of the
eyebrows
- Elevation/Depression of the
TMJ
- Elevation/Depression of the
hyoid bone
- Contraction of the pelvic
floor
- Flexion/extension of the IP
joints of the hand
- PLUS new gross motor
animations.
In addition to walking, standing
from sitting, sit ups and push up, from the first edition,
the 2nd Edition also includes:
- Walking upstairs
- Running
- Jumping forward
- Jumping on the spot
Plus all the interactive 3D
animations can be exported as short video clips for use in
presentations.
Please note the 3D model
does not include the same level of anatomical detail
as the titles in the Complete Anatomy Series with a focus
on bones and muscles.
